Pair of Quistgaard for Dansk Safari Lounge Chairs
About the Item
Rare and important pair of Safari chairs designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Danmark. Both chairs are structurally sound and sturdy, both show significant wear to the black leather upholstery, including tears to the back rest slings, as shown. Fresh from a Mid Hudson Valley estate, selling in untouched (we cleaned and polished) original condition. Usable as is if you like the broken in look, or restore to mint if you prefer a more polished look. Priced and offered as a pair. Iconic 1960s pieces from the Golden Age of Danish Modern design. Rosewood, chrome, leather and canvass, both are marked Nissen Langaa Danmark JHQ. Arm H 21 inches x Seat H 12.5 inches.
