20th Century Queen Anne Style Leather Desk Armchair

About the Item

A mid 20th century superb quality Queen Anne style solid mahogany hand-dyed green leather and brass studs armchair, beautifully shaped curved arms, cabriole front legs with a carved knee and pad feet. A very sturdy armchair in excellent condition. The green leather upholstery is immaculate. The dimensions are: Height: 108cm (42.5in) Width: 80cm (31.5in) Depth: 63cm (24.8in) Very comfortable seating. A rather pleasing example. In good antique condition throughout with no signs of age. The leather seat remain in good, clean condition. The mahogany carved armchair remains structurally sound. Overall, a good example.     A lovely late 17th century Spanish walnut and leather armchair, retaining its original leather seat and back, held by worn gilt brass studs. The back of the chair has two finely carved scroll acanthus finials above two broad arms, which are supported by carved balusters that run through into square front legs, these are joined by a high and heavily carved stretcher with two shaped stretchers joining the front and back legs at either side. Great patina to the wood and leather. In very good condition.
