This is an AWESOME vintage Egyptian Revival handmade wood Thebes stool comprised of a lovely wood frame with lattice bracing under the curved plywood seat, straight legs, and stretchers on all four sides. Simple lines and a unique presence. So… Thebes stools have been around for quite some time!! As a matter of fact, one was discovered in the tomb of King Tutankhamum circa 1400 B.C.!! In the late 19th century, Liberty of London began producing the Egyptian-style stool in flexible-yet-durable plywood as a part of the store's Furnishing & Decorating Studio. Liberty continued manufacturing the stool until approximately 1919 and, since that time, designers have reproduced the style all over the world. I’d say they are here to stay!! As a piece of practical design, the Thebes stool functions as both a seat and an ottoman and will be wonderful in any room of your home! It is Egyptian Revival in style with an Arts & Crafts flair and it’s going to blend in beautifully with your décor! You could use it as is or throw a pillow on top. It’s very versatile and lightweight so it is easily moved from space to space. King Tutankhamum loved his Thebes stool enough to take it to his tomb…. Now, that’s a cool stool...

Gorgeous vintage Mid-20th Century Italian style round stool with rose damask seat & gilt metal faux bamboo legs. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The damask fabric is worn & shabby chic & perfectly aged in our opinion, but some will want to recover. It is priced as such. Fabric has been cleaned just in case. Wonderful pair of vintage Mid-Century Modern corner step tables from Coronado Group by Luther Draper for Founders Furniture. Gorgeous condition. This pair of tables have been completely restored to their original glory. The tops have been stripped and repainted and the legs have been sanded and given a fresh finish. Their long straight legs with cross stretchers and beautiful brass sabots on the feet are eye catching and sophisticated. They are square with a corner angled step and comprised of a superb matte finished hardwood with Classic back beveled edges. They would look stunning beside your loveseat; living room sofa; dividing a corner or u-shaped sectional; or even a separation for perpendicularly placed sofas and chairs. They will add just the right Mid-Century Modern flair to your home. Founders Furniture was started in 1947 as a subsidiary of the esteemed Knoll International for their residential line and then merged with Thomasville Furniture in 1965. It is said that Luther Draper designed for the whose-who of high caliber furniture companies in the mid-century. He designed The Coronado Group collection for Founders Furniture in 1955. He had an unmistakable clean, modern mark he left on his work. He also designed fabulous furniture including the “India Teakwood” collection for White Furniture Company and the well known “Boomerang Desk” for Alma, which was recognized for its prize-winning office furnishings.
