Lovely vintage Mid Century Modern Bar or Server by Davis Cabinet Company comprised of solid mahogany. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Excellent vintage condition. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1950-1960’s. Wow!! This piece should have been on a Mad Men's set! Cool and stylish mid-century-modern bar by Davis Cabinet Company. Made of solid mahogany with an almost Asian design delicately carved into the doors. The top flips open to either side exposing the black Formica top for serving and the interior shelf is cut into a semi-circle to accommodate tall liquor bottles. This Davis Cabinet Company mid-century-modern bar or server is built with exceptional quality and is in excellent vintage condition. It’s going to be fabulous in your living room, kitchen, or dining room filled with your favorite beverages. Great style in a small package. Davis Cabinet Company was formed in 1929. In order to utilize their entire production, the enterprising mill owners formed a subsidiary business, Standard Furniture Company. Here, they manufactured primarily veneered bedroom suites and sewing machine cabinets. In 1921, Lipscomb Davis went to work for Standard. And, in five years, became plant superintendent. It was during his years as superintendent at Standard that he first formed his free-floating theory of solid wood manufacture. Further, he envisioned a ready waiting market for the kind of quality and style he intended as the hallmark of his furniture. Furniture made of the finest select hard woods. In July 1929, Mr. Davis, with the backing of several Nashville businessmen, bought out Standard Furniture Company. And began producing the kind of furniture he dreamed of. The Davis line, as we know it today, includes Lillian Russell, Cumberland Valley, Ellesdale Manor, Legacy Collection, and custom-built pieces.
