19th Century Italian Louis XV Style Cabinet with Vitrine

About the Item

A fine 19th century Italian Louis XV style bronze mounted cabinet with vitrine. Made of solid walnut and pine as a secondary wood. Beautifully patterned book-matched veneers of walnut and burled walnut. In two parts: the vitrine has a tall arched crown above a glass paned door (hairline in the upper left corner) opening to two 5" deep shelves, all above a slim dovetail drawer with two bronze pulls. The vitrine rests on a cabinet with a curved false front door made to look like two drawers and opens to one interior shelf. Ornate cast bronze hardware and decorative elements. Exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Working locks and two keys. All original.
