French, 19th-20th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze-Mounted Vitrine by Haentges

A fine French, 19th-20th century Louis XV style mahogany and gilt bronze-mounted Vitrine by Haentges Freres. The single door cabinet surmounted with ormolu mounts with floral motifs, raised on four cabriolet legs with corner mounts with lion paw feet. The upholstered interior with two glass shelves. The ormolu mounts stamped Haentges Freres on the reverse, Paris, circa 1900. Haentges Frères were a celebrated Parisian firm of bronziers and Ébénistes mainly in the last quarter of 19th and early 20th century. The firm was known for their high quality furnishing in the Louis XV and XVI styles with ormolu mounts. According to the book Le mobilier français du XIX Siecle by Denise LeDoux-Lebard it lists Haentges Frères as being located at 9, Immeubles Industriels from 1883. Measures: Height 75 inches (190.5 cm) Width 40 3/4 inches (103.5 cm) Depth 18 inches (45.7 cm).
