Queen Anne Style Chinoiserie Writing Table Desk
About the Item
Gorgeous writing table desk or bureau plat made in the lovely Queen Anne style featuring an emerald green lacquered finish. Decorated in the chinoiserie revival taste with painted Asian reserves on the frieze. The desk is finished on all sides with two storage drawers on the front having round patinated brass pulls. The top of the desk has a textured writing surface and a decorative gadrooned edge. The hand-painted scenes have delicate gilt borders that extend down the elegant cabriole legs. Beautifully crafted with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The finish has an intentionally aged patina to mimic age. The leg opening is 24-25 inches from the floor. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
