English Coaching Table with Serpentine Legs of Mahogany
About the Item
A fine 19th century English coaching or field table (folding) of mahogany featuring elegant serpentine-shaped turning for the supports, with brass hinges and a handsome patina to the wood.
Such tables were used in the age of carriages or coaches for easy transport and set-up during expeditions.
The table flips closed for easy transport or storage; the legs allowing the table to fold flat when travelling.
Dimensions: Height 28 1/2 in. x width 36 in. x depth 18 3/4 in.
