About the Item
Matched pair of heirloom quality Pinckney Pembroke side tables by the Craftique Furniture Company of Mebane, North Carolina.Craftique was in existence from 1946-2012 and throughout was recognized as the nation's leading maker of heirloom quality mahogany furniture. Their precise handmade reproductions of some of the greatest furniture of all time, including these Pembroke tables, was indeed some of their best work.This pair of Pinckney Pembroke tables are Craftique model # 120, and were made in 1963. They are constructed of solid mahogany and built with expert technique and joinery. No to get philosophical, or sound like an old fart, but it is a true shame that a company that built furniture of this quality and with this much attention to detail had to shut its doors...They retain their original finish, are structurally solid, and have had no repairs to date. There are typical small scratches and dings expected of a 60 year-old piece of furniture. We have no idea at all what caused this, it was the 1960's after all, but in our opinion it does not detract all that much, and we chose to leave it be so as to retain the original finish and long term value of these tables. Dimensions are 15.75"-36" W x 23" D x 26" H.
