About the Item
From the talented fine artist Carolina Cleere comes Fish Out of Water, a collage of a young girl feeding a fish. Beautiful details create this outstanding piece of art. Made from original photographs and drawings, archival inks, acrylic paints, graphite drawings and relief printing it's mounted on a wood panel. Every step is archival and each piece is unique.
Carolina began her Icon of Innocence series in 1996. Cleere creates surreal psychological portraits of defining moments, filled with narrative symbolism. Children are like a blank canvas, said Cleere. It’s the memories that are the color of who we are and what our identity is as an adult. She lets you journey into the interpretation of each painting.
These unique mixed-media paintings are a tedious blend of four different mediums which gives her work a distinctive style. She has been featured in various international art magazines over the years. Today Cleere is included in several permanent museum collections and many private homes throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
