"King Kong" 1933 Film Poster
About the Item
Original 1933 poster for the 1933 film King Kong directed by Merian C. Cooper / Ernest B. Schoedsack with Fay Wray. This 29 x 43" stone lithograph poster was issued in 1933 in Argentina, and has the same artwork as the American poster which has sold for close to $400,000. Like all Argentine posters, this poster is undated, however it's widely acknowledged to be from the first release of King Kong in Argentina in 1933. This poster was acquired as part of a collection of over 12,000 Argentine posters which included dozens of examples of original 1930s paper. The poster is in fine condition, has been professionally linen-backed, and is currently in a custom archival frame. The poster can be shipped framed or unframed Please note: the size is stated in inches and the actual size can vary by an inch or more.
