George I 18ct Gold Rock Crystal, Hair-Work, & Enamel Mourning Ring

A George I 18ct yellow gold, rock crystal, hair-work, and black enamel mourning ring. The gold ring bears the inscription "W : DEWE · OB: 22 · NOV, 1725 · AET: 58", within a black enamel band. This inscription signifies that W. DEWE died on the 22nd of Nov, 1725, at the age of 58.
As was common for the period the ring is unhallmarked and has been tested and confirmed to be 18 carat gold fineness, with silver foliate shoulders.
