    By Original by Rudolf
    Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Breathtaking and incredibly chic Rudolf couture designer golden peach party dress dating back to the mid 1950's. The company, started by Max Cory Rudolf, was an upscale boutique in New York City that catered to very prestigious and wealthy clientele. Rudolf was the first person to bring Hubert de Givenchy to America and Givenchy even did a line of dresses for Rudolf. His specialty was creating evening and cocktail dresses very much in the tradition of movie-star glamour. This metallic lace beauty is a wonderful example of his genius. Just look at the detailed fabric! The bodice is a flattering scalloped shelf...

  • Vintage 1975 Madame Grès Haute Couture Rare Documented Silk-Jersey Cut Out Gown
    By Madame Gres
    Located in Beverly Hills, CA
A simply gorgeous and museum quality Madame Grès haute couture heavily pleated silk-jersey gown dating back to her 1975 Autumn-Winter collection. Madame Grès felt that the true job of the couturier was not to create a name for one's self, as many designers do, but to pay rigorous attention to the clothing. This stunning documented draped mocha brown gown has so much detail, you can tell it was made with loving devotion. That color pop of beige really brings this dress to a new level. The seductive bodice has a low-cut halter style neckline with scrolling heavily pleated bands. My favorite design detail is the flirty cut-outs around the bodice which add so much sex appeal and interest. Flattering asymmetric hem columnar skirt with matching pleated waist belt. Grès had an extraordinarily long career. Through each decade, which encompassed huge changes in fashion, her work remained consistent and timeless. Any one of her elegant gowns...

  • Documented 1982 Yves Saint Laurent multicolor striped dress
By Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, Yves Saint Laurent
    Located in CULEMBORG, GE
When Yves Saint Laurent visited Morocco for the first time in 1966 it changed his life forever. Struck by its beauty he immediately acquired a house in Marrakech and stayed there at least two times a year to design his collections. Yves Saint Laurent once said: ‘Marrakech opened my eyes to color.’ The colors of the stained glass windows and beamed ceilings of the Bahia Palace in Marrakech are a perfect example what inspired him when designing this particular dress for his Rive Gauche collection that came out in 1982. The exciting mix of vivid colors Yves Saint Laurent used designing this dress have a pattern of vertical stripes in lively red, purple indigo, apple green and Dijon yellow alternated with thin black and white stripes. Adding a pussy bow and bishop sleeves gives the entire look an elegant feel. The high quality silk is in a very good vintage condition and has been professionally cleaned and pressed. The state of this unique Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress is very good, only a small piece of the original mother-of-pearl button left hand button has chipped off (see the last photograph), but can be easily replaced. As you wish we can replace this with a new button without charging extra costs. The dress that was also featured in Vogue magazine in a 1982 Yves...
