About the Item
Bonnie Cashin for Sills soft wool dress with collar, suede trim and adjustable dog leash clasp, likely made in the 60s. Made from a Loden green hued wool knit, it features an adjustable collar with dog leash clasp that can be styled in various ways around the neck (see our photos, where we show several ideas). The neckline is trimmed in brown suede and it fastens in back with a simple hook/eye closure. Half-moon pockets can be found at each hip.
A similar style can be seen in Dr. Stephanie Lake's book, 'Bonnie Cashin: Chic is Where You Find It' (see image 3).

Tagged 'A Bonnie Cashin Design' and 'Sills and Co'. Made in the USA. No content label; wool knit, dry clean only. Unlined. Tagged size 12. Approximate measurements, taken flat and doubled where appropriate: shoulders - 15.5in, bust - 38in, waist - 30in, hips - 38in, sleeves - 18.5in, shoulder to hem - 39in.
Preowned/vintage with some signs of age, use and prior wear: some patina to the brass dog leash fastener; some small rubs to the suede trim sections, hard to see when wearing but evident if closely inspecting.
