Extremely rare vintage early 70s late 1960s / 60s JAY MORLEY for FERN VIOLETTE bohemian / boho maxi dress! Jay Morley was a well established designer for MGM Studios back int he day. He had a very successful sought-after limited run as a fashion designer under the Fern Violette label. Features a rich burgundy soft velvet bodice with functional brass buttons up the front bodice. Hidden snap at top bust can be left un snapped (without seeing) to accomodate larger bust sizes. Hand-sewn ethnic inspired cotton trim matches the attached maxi skirt. Panels of amazing heavy cotton printed (paisley, birds, etc.) ethnic fabric at skirt. Fitted bodice with a full maxi skirt. Pockets at both sides of the waist. Full metal zipper up the back with hook-and-eye closure, Partially lined. Great for day or evening. perfect with flats, sandals or wedges for day, or heels for evening. In great condition. Made in USA. Approximately Size Medium Measurements: 28-42 inch bust (slight stretch, and snap that can be left open) 30 inch waist Free hips 58 inches from top shoulder to hem
