About the Item
This gown is draped on the bias and spirals around the body with no side seams. Instead ingenious darts in the antique hand embroidered Chinese silk shape the fabric to the body. Inspired by the spiraling beauty of Boldini's portraits. The rich Victorian trims echo the Belle Epoch, however the dress is cut in a contemporary and corset-less design. Designed to showcase the female form at it's most elegant, the high neck and the slinky train elongate the body to the extreme. Both revealing the shape of the body, whilst displaying it on a silver platter lined in velvet. The velvet trimmed train can be hooked up in varying places on the gown, including the ruffled bustle, allowing for ease of wear. A gown designed to stun for the ages.
