About

Romantic flapper dresses from the early 20th century are perennial favorites and this one is a show-stopper! The garment's simple unstructured style is so modern; the fine beadwork is a treasure trove of needle art. This beauty, fashioned from double layered silk-chiffon, is lavishly embellished with long strands of silver fringe composed of shimmering glass beads. I love the sleeveless bodice with unique front cut-out bib design. The exacting perfection of the embellishment is beyond compare. Even the zig-zag scalloped hemline compliments the deco beading! We needed to add many detail pictures so one can appreciate the masterful achievement. What a breathtaking bridal dress for a stylish woman, who uses her clothing as the material from which to create a work of art.

This antique French dress is in excellent wearable condition with no rips, stains or holes. The garment slips over the head with side metal-hooks. Only sign of age is some missing beadwork which is hardly noticeable when worn. This vintage couture treasure is over 90 years old and is truly spectacular.
