1930's Ethereal Ivory-White Lace Bias-Cut Hourglass Gown & Matching Jacket

About

An ethereal ivory-white lace gown from the "Old Hollywood" era of glamour. The bodice is a seductive low-cut plunge bias-cut sleeveless with matching puff-sleeve necktie bolero-jacket. I love the hand-stitched ruffle detailing and scalloped nude underslip. The lower skirt is added in pointed inset seamed pieces typical of the time period and insanely hard to do on bias-cut fabric. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust, skims the hip and flares out below the knee in a fishtail design. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture. Here is an ensemble with attitude and elegant.
