About

During the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's, Pauline Trigère's name was part of the glamorous excess in Hollywood fashion. Her exquisite tailoring and feminine-fitting clothing were highly desired by the wealthy and famous. She could create dresses which fit like a glove; cut in an extremely flattering style. Trigère designs commanded some of the highest prices often because they were made with very expensive materials. This stunning pink and green ombre goddess gown is a perfect example of her genius. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; watercolor gradient "light as a feather" silk-chiffon in one of the prettiest color combinations I've ever seen! The bodice is an elegant low-cut cowl plunge with gorgeous bell-sleeves. I adore the rhinestone-buckle sash belt draping across the hourglass nipped-waist. The full-length flowing skirt makes this extraordinary garment so effortlessly easy to wear. A work of wearable art with the imaginativeness so celebrated in the 1970's.
