About the Item
Brand new with original tags MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION Fall 2006 Runway black crushed velvet evening gown ! This was look # 66 on the Runway. Soft crushed velvet fabric is composed of Rayon (80%) and Silk (20%). Black silk straps at each shoulder, with matching silk ribbon drawstring at bust can adjust to accommodate an array of bust sizes, revealing a keyhole at center bust. Hidden zipper up the side.
Dramatic long train.
In perfect unworn condition with original store tags still attached.
Marked Size US 6, but could also fit an 8
Measurements:

30-32 inch waist
Up to 42 inch hips
72 inches from top back shoulder seam to hem

“After last season's road trip through the Painted Desert, Michael Kors returned to the East Coast for fall inspirations—specifically to Jay Gatsby's West Egg and the Harvard stomping grounds of Love Story's Ali MacGraw. For fans of the designer's trademark mix of tony chic and all-American prep, it was a sure-to-please match.”
“Gatsby brought long vests and knickers, drop-waist shifts jauntily tied with bows, and a cocktail party's worth of crystals, mostly on flapper dresses, to the relationship. MacGraw's contributions included rugby stripes, handkerchief hems, paisleys, and cable-knit cardigans. Then there were her collegiate accessories: distressed-leather belts, argyle knee socks, and, yes, those iconic knit caps.”
