Pierre Balmain Fall 1993 Haute Couture Dress
About the Item
Extremely rare Pierre Balmain by Oscar de la Renta Haute Couture dress from Fall Winter 1993 collection. The dress is made of a delicate black lace with a beautiful velvet piping on the skirt, and is covered in velvet on the top and sleeves part. It has a very retro style with a 50s shape and is off the shoulder. This dress was not on the runway as it was custom made for a client, but is very similar to other dresses that went down the runway that season. 1993 is the year Oscar de la Renta was appointed head designer at Pierre Balmain where he designed Haute Couture until 2002.
There is no tag size, make sure to report to measurements for an accurate fitting. Measurements: Shoulders: 18 inches flat / Armpits: 16 inches flat / Waist: 12 inches flat / Hips: 26 inches flat/ Length: 45 inches total
Condition: Very Good / Flaws: Velvet show some signs of wear by the fastening in the back. One of the velvet piping on the skirt looks fragmented but it is almost not noticeable.
