Red and Purple Sheath Dress w 360-Degree Tulle Farthingale Peplum - M, 1960s
About the Item
Less a peplum and more a Renaissance-era farthingale, this dress's midsection uses an optical illusion to slim the waist and hips by comparison. Entrance- AND exit-making.
Vintage sleeveless sheath dress with wide scooping neckline and front and rear princess seams at bodice; massive gathered and deeply-pleated balloon peplum filled with tulle for extraordinary fullness around full body circumference. Rear metal zipper closure with hook and loop at low back and neck. Fully lined in red acetate; hanging loops.
