Three Piece Saphire Blue Couture Evening Ensemble by Lily Samii SF Size 8
About the Item
This beautiful three-piece couture evening ensemble was designed by Lilly Samii for a Socialite/Philanthropist from La Jolla Calif. It’s as beautiful as it is versatile. The fabric is a silk or silk blend twill weave in sapphire blue. The sculptural jacket/top (think of the sculptural shapes that go into a couture jacket like Armani does in Paris) is adorned with hand made silk chiffon flowers to frame the neck. Some of the flowers are hand beaded with crystals in the centers of the flower, heavier at the front of the perfect jewel neckline. The back has rhinestone and silver buttons down the back with couture keyhole buttonholes. Black silk lining on jacket and both the short and long skirts. Both skirts also have a sculptural shape, especially the long skirt which looks both modern and elegant. It has a interlining built in the hem for a gown like shape for movement. No size tag on this couture piece, the measurements are closest to a size 8 and possibly a slim 10. Please see measurements below. Glamorous chic and couture quality are rare, especially at this price. It’s spectacular. Long skirt: 32”W x 42.50”L. Short skirt: 33”W x 25.50”L.
