Vintage Vicky Tiel Couture 1990s cocktail dress in silk with a ruched bust and ruffle details on the hip. This Vicky Tiel Couture dress is crafted in 100% silk and was made in France. It’s above knee length and has a split at the back to allow movement in the pencil shaped skirt. The layers of silk ruffle and ruched bust in combination with the corset like waist make for a extreme hourglass shape that is very alluring.
BRAND DESCRIPTION
After graduating from Parson’s School of Design in 1964, Vicky and her best friend Mia moved to Paris and went on to design for couturier Louis Féraud. Their first designs included the mini skirt. They were the first to design these and created an international recognition for themselves. Mia and Vicky worked together for some time on their own label, until in 1971 Mia left the business and the brand was called Vicky Tiel. Throughout the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s the focus has been couture evening wear and bridal. Vicky Tiel is known for ultra-sexy, form-fitting dresses made in couture fashion with luxury fabrics.
