An absolutely sensational Emma Domb red roses floral tulle full-skirt party dress dating back to the mid 1950's. This figure flattering silhouette was inspired by Christian Dior's 'new look' and was extremely popular during this time period. Emma Domb, beginning in 1939, was based in San Francisco, California. She specialized in ultra-feminine 'important occasion' dresses at more affordable prices than couture. There was even a decades-long relationship with the Miss America pageant, with Domb supplying contestants’ gowns. This stunning Emma Domb dress exudes that ladylike elegance the 1950's were known for. I love the unique and whimsical fabric choice; sheer large-scale red roses floral print graphic gray tulle. The thin-strap bodice has beautiful bust pleating and a three-dimensional floral applique red sash waist belt. The hourglass nipped waist flows into a beautiful tea-length full skirt. This would be a beautiful bridal moment or chic wedding guest look! Stylish, feminine luxury will never go out of style.
