About the Item
This vintage 1970s gown ensemble is a true treasure. Custom made from a satin striped silk, this dress boasts a simple design and high-quality craftsmanship. The fabric is designed with diamonds made up of red and midnight blue stripes that play off of the plaid satin pattern in the fabric weave creating for a cool optical effect. The halter style bodice has been masterfully pieced with one side done fully in the blue stripes and the other in the red matching perfectly at the centre front seam. The skirt of the dress falls with a subtle drape finishing with a decent sweep. Additionally, the dress comes with a matching shawl that is finished on both ends with a bouquet of red and white ostrich feathers that add a layer of texture to the smooth dress. Full of flirty vintage charm, this one-of-a-kind ensemble is a perfect wardrobe addition.
