Additional Details: Gary Graham c.2001 "Hair Top". Maroon base with asymmetrical black top stitching. Cutout along bust. Intentional unfinished raw edges. 10 small "ponytails" of hair on each shoulder. Multi-panel construction gives form fitting, structured look. Very little give and stretch for fabric. Original hand-sewn label still attached. (Label appears to read: Style - Hair Top, Size - 4, Fabric - Silk/Hair, Date - 8.20.01)

About the Designer: Gary Graham was founded in New York City in 1999. The clothing line, respected for its sophisticated craftmanship, historical erudition, and exquisite detailing, sold at select luxury retailers worldwide, and at the clothing brand's flagship Tribeca store.
The brand was reborn in 2018 as GaryGraham422 after moving to Franklin, NY. The "422" refers to the address of his new storefront, 422 Main Street. He reconfigured his production to small-batch fabrication with unique interventions to one-of-a-kind fabrics. In 2021, Gary Graham was also a finalist in season 2 of "Making the Cut". His work focuses on innovative and unique styles with historic inspiration and handmade vintage textiles.
