About the Item
This is a vintage 3 piece suit from designer Geoffrey Beene that was purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue in the 1990's. We are obsessed with the vintage pieces designed by Mr. Beene and always grab them whenever we can find them! This outfit is made in a black and beige speckled smooth knit fabric with a silk top. Labeled a size 10, the open front jacket has side slit pockets and shoulder pads, and is lined in the same patterned fine silk. The fine silk top has short sleeves and and closes in the back at the neck with a single black satin covered button. The skirt closes with a back zipper and is made of the same knit as the jacket. Though labeled a vintage size 10, we estimate this ensemble to fit a modern day size 8.
