1970's Italian Knit Halter Maxi Dress & Jacket

About the Item

This 1970's Italian knit maxi dress by ORA has a dual personality ... demure with the coordinating sweater jacket and completely sassy without! The dress has a pullover halter construction with a tie and ribbed section at the bust. The cropped jacket buttons at the front with a matching ribbed torso and puff style short sleeves. Both pieces are made with a turquoise nubby blue knit mixed with a plaid at the bust which incorporates yellow and purple shades. The original owner was a model in the 1970's for textile companies and 'ORA' was a label designed to market oracril, an acrylic fiber that has a soft feel and drapes similarly to silk knit. Fun for a period perfect look! CONDITION Very good condition with a small amount of pilling. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS Marked a size 7, most likely a junior size though it will fit a U.S. women's size 2 - 4 with attention to the following measurements taken without stretching the fabric though there is plenty of stretch to accommodate curves. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
