US Navy Crackerjack Sailor Pant and Middy Shirt Ensemble - Men S / Women L, 1967

About the Item

The ultimate “borrowed from the boys” ensemble, the US Navy crackerjack—with its wide-legged pants and pullover jumper—ironically seems better suited to a woman’s curves than the male body. This one has the added benefit of having belonged to a Navy firefighter’s apprentice on top of it. Crackerjack indeed! US Navy-issue Undress Blue uniform featuring 13-button sailor pants and midi blouse. Long sleeve shirt features collarless V-neck front, rear shoulder flap and firefighter’s apprentice insignia at left shoulder. Exterior left slash breast pocket plus interior button flap right breast pocket; pullover construction with no closures of any kind. Pants feature 13-button flap front and rear laces; horizontal slash pockets at each front hip plus single slash pocket at rear right hip. Both pieces unlined.
