Beautiful vintage 1970s silk chiffon pleated blouse and skirt set by Jean Louis Scherrer.
The designer:
Jean-Louis Scherrer, the former classical ballet dancer trained in the excellence of couture and his very Parisian form of elegance by his master Christian Dior and remained at the pinnacle of the fickle fashion world for three decades.
From 1962 to 1992, Jean-Louis Scherrer dressed the most prestigious women of the times: Farah Diba, the Kennedy family, Princess Paola of Belgium, France’s then-First Lady Mrs. Giscard d’Estaing, actresses Michèle Morgan, Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch to Isabelle Adjani, acclaimed writer Françoise Sagan and so many more......
