Chartreuse Embroidered Cotton Sun Parasol Umbrella w Lucite Ferrule – 28”, 1950s
About the Item
Though this umbrella was likely a part of a mid-century ensemble complete with matching day dress and shoes, the parasol itself is a prize. In cheerful soft lime chartreuse cotton, it straddles both Victorian and modern eras thanks to its delicate silk floral embroidery and chunky Lucite ball ferrule.
Sun parasol with silk floral embroidered canopy and telescoping metal shaft; wooden figural handle and faux leather wrist loop. Self tie wrapper with metal loop and button closure; clear Lucite ball ferrule.
