About the Item
Bonnie Cashin for Coach 'foldover purse' or clutch bag, part of Bonnie's Cashin Carry accessories collection and likely made in the late 1960s. Made from a mocha-hued leather, this fabulous little bag fastens with a gold metal kiss lock and is lined in Bonnie's signature striped fabric.
An incredibly rare bag in an equally hard to find color! There are two versions of this style, one unlined with external stitching, and this style with interior stitching and striped fabric lining. We show both styles in our last image for comparison (this bag is on the right; the other is being sold separately).
Bonnie Cashin designed pieces that were both practical and stylish, and this bag is a great example of her work! It can be stowed inside of a larger bag or luggage and stores flat! And at 8.5in L x 8.5in H x .5in D, it holds a bunch for its size!
Made in the USA. Note that pre-creed Coach tag is missing.
Preowned/vintage (50+ years old) with signs of age, use and prior wear: some marks and rubs to exterior; some scratching and color loss to the gold metal hardware. Interior lining shows some light spots.
