1980's Bruno Magli Bright Color Block Leather Handbag

About the Item

Bruno Magli has been producing quality Italian leather goods since 1936. This leather color blocked handbag is reminiscent of nautical flags and features yellow, green, red and blue geometric shapes with a bright white background. The toggle drawstring closure operates like a bolo tie by sliding up and down to tighten the opening. The generous shoulder strap offers three adjustments with a 'B' shaped gold tone buckle and is long enough to wear as a crossbody bag. Besides the drawstring closure, the handbag snaps at the top and opens to reveal a roomy black leather lined interior featuring a zippered compartment and an open side pocket. Wear it with all white for a color pop and nautical look or pair it with jeans and a t-shirt for a mod aesthetic. The original dust bag and purchase receipt are included ... retailed for $315 C.1984. Good vintage condition with some issues worth mentioning. There are a couple of whitish 'dots' in the red and blue leather sections as shown in photographs 12 and 13 which may have been a result of the dye process. There are a couple of subtle dark smudges to the white leather shown in photographs 14, 15 and 16. Overall, the handbag appears bright and clean ... ready for summer fun! MEASUREMENTS The body of the handbag measures 9.5" at the widest x 9" tall x 4.25" deep. The shoulder strap handle measures 41" from end to end providing for a 19.5" drop.
