So much more than a handbag, this gorgeous purse resembles a piece of Heywood-Wakefield furniture more than a fashion accessory. From its curving “waterfall” edges to its remarkable luster to its pierced relief lid, this purse is true mid-century art piece. Vintage rectangular pearlized champagne Lucite box purse with curved bottom, self hinged lid and hinged self flap clasp closure on front surface; double basket handles. Scrolling pierced relief carving on center lid; 4 protective Lucite feet on bottom surface. No interior compartments or dividers; unlined. material: Lucite noteworthy: wipe down with soft cloth moistened only with water to clean; avoid abrasives and chemical cleaning agents repairs: none condition: near mint with no cracks or gouges; very light tarnish to nailhead joins, plus one irregular "fleck" on front face and one stray 4mm mark on back face. measurements: width: 10” height: 3 ¾” with lid closed depth: 4” mouth: 9 ½” w x 3 ½” deep handle drop: 6” label: no label present
