- Japanese Green White Porcelain Vase by Contemporary Master ArtistLocated in Takarazuka, JPExquisite Japanese contemporary Kutani porcelain vase, intricately hand painted on an elegantly shaped porcelain body, a signed masterpiece by the third generation master porcelain artist in traditional Kutani. His grandfather started as a porcelain artist 140 years ago faithfully protecting the characteristics of traditional Kutani fine porcelain. The creator of this piece, the third generation artist, continues to keep this tradition alive and is among a very small number of Kutani porcelain artists who still create traditional Kutani pieces. When they are combined with the bold designs and free-flawing drawings, elaborately worked pieces are created. This stunning piece depicts three scalloped panels with flower and bird motifs on white background. The panels are surrounded by intricately designed scrolling vines in white on deep green. The based boasts a detailed pattern created by fine lines in black set against a traditional kutani green...Category
