Chinese Yellow Silk Tassel with Interlocking Coins Charm

$198

About

Chinese knotted tassels are used to add elegance to everyday items like hairpins or lanterns. They often hold sentimental value, and are passed down through families for generations. In ancient times lovers sometimes gave knots as tokens of their love. This long, pale yellow tassel is tied with two large endless knots, symbols of longevity and one of the eight treasures of the Buddha. Suspended between these knots is a carved stone pendant shaped as six interlocking golden coins, a charm to attract wealth and ward off misfortune.
