About the Item
A very fine and charming pair of French 19th-20th century Louis XV style Belle Époque figural gilt-bronze chenets. The finely chased whimsical ormolu andirons, each surmounted with a figure of a standing cupid or cherub, both angel blacksmiths working on love arrows, standing at the end of a draped table with a burning flame torch flambeau emanating from an Athénienne, Paris, circa 1900.
