Very Fine Pair of Decorative Brass Chenets
About the Item
Pair of the finest quality early 19th century Louis XVI brass chenets. The base with lions feet and moulded relief design. Three acanthus leaf paterae with guilloche moulding. Impressive urns with swags and fluted stems, cherubs to sides, and surmounted by flame finials. Smaller urns to sides with matching swags and ornate top finials. Centre swags with more further guilloche moulding and ribbons above. Provenance Paris.
