Lovely French cast iron Louis XV / Rococo fireback showing Goddess Diana bathing.
Diana is the Goddess of modest hunting, she only kills what she can eat.
While hunting she protects all the young animals, wildlife and forests around here.
Here she is being bathed while surrounded by grove and animals.
Beautifully decorated and in great condition, the fireback can be used in a real fire or as a beautiful backsplash.
