Large Lateral Push Pull Door Handle of Cast Bronze

About the Item

A large lateral push-pull door handle of abstract Brutalist design. European, second half 20th century. A striking piece - made to span the full width of a door - formed from cast and patinated bronze, showing mid to dark brown and green tones. The repeating pattern has a slight variation at one end top and bottom, for ease of handling; this end can be positioned to the left or right as the design is symmetrical. Previously used outside, the piece could also be used inside as required. Installation The handle has a removable bracket at each end, held in place with screws. Installation to your door is via bolts through holes in the brackets to suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal (bolts not supplied). Please be aware this is a heavy piece and suitable installation will be required. Overall the piece is in vintage condition with signs of weathering and minor distortion from age and use. Some distortion to the shape of the brackets. We have categorised this piece as in fair condition to draw attention to these points.
