Sommevoire France, 1880-1885, cast-iron This cast-iron statue was made by Antoine Durenne in the late 19th century. Durenne got his education at l’Ecole des Arts et Metiers in Angers and at l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He graduated in 1842 and in 1847 he bought a small foundry in the picturesque village of Sommevoire.
