Pair of Vintage Brutalist Belgian Metal & Ceramik Entry Door Pull Handle

About the Item

This pair of original door handles was designed and made by the Belgian artist Juliette Belarti during the 1960s. The geometric frame is made of aluminum and the center is filled with an orange and black glazed ceramic board. The combination of these two materials gives harmony to the object. An original, sculptural-shaped design with an interesting structure will work as a strong accent in minimalist interiors, and will complement modern spaces with an extraordinary and unique element. Juliette Belarti is a Belgian artist. Her designs are characterized by combinations of ceramics and metal, made with the utmost care. Hand-painted ceramic tiles are the basis of many tables made by the artist. Most projects were created in the 1960s and 1970s. The handles are in original vintage condition. They have minor traces of age and natural patina.
