About the Item
Framed mid-20th century Irina Lorin Signed ceramic art tile of figure, consisting of three framed tiles, mid-20th century. 3 tiles measuring 8" x 11" retains original wood and grasscloth frame. Signed. IRINA.
Russian born Irinia Lorin was educated in China. After immigrating to the US, she worked at Paramount Studio with Miss Edith Head. Later, at a costume house in New York, she worked with Salvador Dali as well as other well-known artists of the time. She opened her own studio in California in the mid-1950s. Her work is characterized by highly stylized images in both bold design and color.
