Early 19th Century Set of Double Castle Door Hinges A rare find, this set of hinges are blacksmith made in solid iron, they are very heavy and beautifully decorative, there is also an end bolt lock and a central latch The hinges will fit around a 2” thick door, there are 11 pieces in all, there is no visible damage one of the hinges still has the original bolts One hinge is 26”x 25” and 4” thick SW238

    Hand-carved in Belgium, circa 1860, this 11 foot tall pair of doors (132.88 inches) were recently salvaged from a Belgian chapel. They can be considered of the Gothic style, which is sometimes referred to as “pointed architecture”, because of the prevalence of pointed arches in buildings.
