19th Century French Gothic Iron and Mesh Double-Door Fireplace Screen
About the Item
Decorate a fireplace hearth with this elegant and ornate antique iron screen. Forged in France circa 1880, the freestanding wrought iron piece with arched top stands on small front feet, and is dressed with two folding sides (8" each); the screen opening with two small doors across the front, features heavy scroll work decor. The fireplace essential is further embellished by a metal mesh protective screen on all three panels. The Gothic style mantel essential is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original black finish. Center panel: 24".
