This is an antique fireside bin. An English, oak and chrome coopered half barrel log or coal cask, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850. Of appealing, unusual oval form and character Displays a desirable aged patina throughout Select oak displays rich caramel hues and fine grain interest Bound with polished chrome straps with a weathered finish commensurate with age Generous opening with a natural stave edge - suitable for all fuel types or lounge storage Stout drop handles to each side for ease of moving This is a fascinating antique fireside or lounge bin, with a period charm to its ovoid form.
