Massive French Copper Cauldron Pot with Iron Handles

About the Item

Oversized hand-hammered copper cauldron with iron handles. France, early 20th century. This handcrafted copper cauldron has a terrific aged patina. It has an iron rim on the top and forged iron handles attached to the pot with iron studs. The copper is heavily adorned by the hammer marks.It has a repair patch. Its large size allows to be used as log holder, decorative storage basket, planter or bottle cooler for your parties. Also interesting to turn into a sink vessel for a powder room / bathroom or kitchen in a cottage house or eclectic decoration. As it has a few very small holes, to be used as wine cooler it would need to add an acrylic ice bucket container ( not included).
