Antique Limestone Fireplace mantel
About the Item
A very nice antique limestone fireplace from France for sale.
The dimensions make this a very versatile and usable piece, its decoration and style capture the mind but also give it enough presence to be appreciated.
The frieze has a nice thick and stong top that creates a nice deep frieze with a central star and horizontal trees with leaf's on both sides.
These trees or branches symbolize growth, they are growing toward each other and to the central star.
The sloping jambs have a trapped top and nice scrolled bottom on top of plain rectangular endblocks.
This mantel comes with small returns but can be supplied with larger one or can be cut to depth when necessary.
Lovely heritage piece that has a great feel to it.
