About the Item
A good quality antique York stone fire surround dating from the late 19th century. This simple yet elegant fireplace offers a timeless look, making a handsome feature in interiors old and new. It’s clean lines and rounded edges are handsomely carved into York stone. Worked since medieval times, this tightly grained sandstone derives from quarries in Yorkshire and is popular for its quality, neutral colour and strength.
